The first day of Spring of 2013 never saw temperatures get above freezing.

This time last year the temperature hit a record high of 82 degrees.

The cold weather is a result of a change in the jet stream from what we saw last year.

Last year the jet stream was North of us, allowing the warm air from the South to deliver those warm days.

This year, the jet stream sits to the South of us, importing that abundance cold weather from our Canadian neighbors to the north.

According to weather forecasters, the current location of the jet stream will only last about one more week.
