NORTHWOOD -- On the same day law enforcement in Wood County announced the arrest of six people on prostitution charges, Northwood Police say they have netted a dozen people in a sting at a local hotel.

In response to known prostitution activity in the area, Northwood Police, Wood County Sheriff's Office, and officials from the FBI conducted the undercover operation on March 19. Several males and females were caught after soliciting undercover operatives for sexual acts.

Twelve individuals were arrested and charged with 17 different crimes and outstanding warrants, including soliciting prostitution, drug abuse, possession of drug abouse instruments, and complicity to soliciting prostitution.

Those arrested and charged with soliciting prostitution include: Khaled Elabyad, of Sylvania; Tania Parker, of Toledo; Phil Farina, of Toledo; Christopher Robosky, of Findlay; Marcus Williams, of Fremont; Charles Yager, of Maumee; Duane Stroud, of Toledo; Tiffany Dukett, of Toledo; Amanda Bigelow, of Toledo; and Jamie Slaughter, of Toledo.

Tania Parker, of Toledo, was arrested and charged with complicity to soliciting and felony drug abuse.  Sandra Slaughter, of Toledo, was charged with drug abuse, along with Stroud, Dukett, and Bigelow.

According to police, $1,028 in cash, along with crack cocaine, prescription medication, and marijuana were seized in the operation.
