TOLEDO -- Two of the six men charged with the robbery-turned-shooting death of a South Toledo gym owner have pleaded guilty in Lucas County Common Pleas Court.

According to court documents, 35-year-old Chad Brown entered a plea deal by pleading guilty to the lesser offense of involuntary manslaughter on Tuesday. He was originally charged with aggravated murder. Brown also pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery with a firearm.

The judge accepted the plea deal and set sentencing for April 30.

One week ago, 34-year-old Matthew Managhan also pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter with a gun specification and aggravated robbery.

Early on Nov. 19, 2012, three armed men approached 57-year-old Joe Lengel and shot him to death during an attempted robbery. Police arrested 31-year-old Jason Kuhns and 19-year-old Devonte Harris in connection to the crime. Another man, 19-year-old Deitrekk Boone, is still on the run.

Manahan and Brown were not believed to have been at the scene of the crime and were accused of aggravated robbery because of their alleged involvement in planning the robbery.

In court, Managhan said he believed the intended victim would be carrying cash and drugs while on the premises of a repair shop located next to Lengel's gym. He also confessed to supplying the handgun for the crime.

Prosecutors say that Lengel was not the intended victim.
