A Fostoria man will spend the next decade behind bars for kidnapping and raping a 16-year-old girl.

The Seneca County prosecutor says 39-year-old Jennings Matthews entered a plea of guilty to two counts of rape, one count of kidnapping and one count of sexual battery on Wednesday. The charges against him stemmed from a sexual assault earlier this year. Matthews was sentenced to 11 years in prison.

When he's released, Matthews will have to register as a sex offender for life.
