Toledo man gets jail time for Key Bank robbery

A 32-year-old man who was caught on camera during an east Toledo bank robbery was sentenced to jail time on Tuesday.

After pleading guilty to the crime last month, 32 -year -old Dennis Thompson was sentenced to 18 month behind bars in Lucas County Common Pleas court yesterday. He was also ordered to pay $800 in restitution.

Thompson was caught on surveillance walking into the Key Bank on Main Street last November. He was arrested after police said he tried to use dye-stained money at a Toledo business the same day as the robbery.
