TOLEDO -- Update: Toledo Police say the driver of an SUV that hit an ODOT truck, on Monday, was texting while driving at the time of the accident.

Officials say 51-year-old Ken Harder of Temperance also hit two ODOT workers just before the crash, including 51-year-old Mary Rich of Oregon.

Rich was not seriously injured but was taken to the hospital for treatment, Harder was ejected on impact and was listed in critical condition on Monday night.

I-75 Northbound has re-opened following a traffic nightmare for motorists on Monday evening.

Around 7:15 p.m., Toledo Police began allowing drivers back on the roadway after it was closed for around 3 hours.

Authorities kept vehicles off the interstate as they investigated a crash along Northbound I-75 near the Bancroft Street overpass.

Officials say that two ODOT employees, on litter patrol, were involved in the accident along with the driver of another vehicle.

That driver and one of the ODOT workers were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The ODOT worker is expected to be ok.

The driver of the personal vehicle involved suffered serious injuries.

ODOT officials issued a statement on the crash saying "Our thoughts are with those involved and in this accident and their family members."
