TOLEDO -- Football fans are getting amped for a finger-lickin', lip-smackin' good time as they order up heaps of chicken wings for the Superbowl.

Wing joints throughout Lucas County already have all hands on deck, frying and saucing wings by the hundreds to fulfill the extra-large orders for the big game.

"We already have orders of 400 wings for a small party," said Houng Dhar, who owns The Wings Station on McCord Road with her husband. Dhar anticipates cooking and serving several thousand take-out wings for Sunday's game. She continued, "I'm going to have all of my family here so they can run and get whatever needs to be done."

"Easy convenient-finger food that goes well with the drinks people are going to have," Dhar says makes wings and the superbowl a perfect pair.

Last year's Superbowl was the first wing feeding-frenzy Dhar and The Wings Station experienced. Dhar says this year they are "well prepared," and are even offering NFL Specials to hungry fans.

Whether it is barbecue or buffalo, it appears that once again the sauce is the boss for Superbowl XLVII.
