TOLEDO -- Police are trying to identify three people seen in surveillance video assaulting and then robbing a Toledo man last Thursday, January 3rd.

Investigators say the attack happened after a confrontation, between the suspects and the victim,  in front of the Detroit Stop Carryout at the corner of Detroit and Central.

The victim told police he believes the suspects thought he was a member of gang and says he was attacked after telling them he wasn't affiliated with one.

A member of the trio allegedly told the victim "What up Blood" before the assault.

In the video, the suspects can be seen throwing the victim to the ground and then stomping on his face.

Officials say that's when the suspects took the victim's backpack, which contained his work ID and some clothes.

All three suspects are described as Black males between the ages of 18 and 20.

Suspect 1 is believed to be around 5'7" and weighs around 145 pounds.

Suspects 2 and 3 are both between 6' and 6'1" and weigh approximately 170 pounds.

The second suspect, however, is described as wearing royal blue sweats, a black coat and a black snow hat.

The third suspect was wearing Nike ACG boots that were black and lime green.

If you have any information on the identity of the three suspects you are asked to contact Toledo Police or CrimeStoppers at 419-255-1111.
