BOWLING GREEN -- Customers walking up to the doors of Spindletop Sports Zone, a store inside the Woodland Mall, were greeted with a sign on the door saying closed.

"I'm very disappointed because I heard from my daughter she seen online on Facebook that something had happened as far as selling non - authentic items," says Joan Pierce, a customer of the sports store.

The FBI says store owner, Richard Schmidt is suspected in trafficking counterfeit goods. Agents from the FBI's Cleveland bureau along with various local police agencies executed search warrants at Schmidt's Bowling Green store and his Toledo home Friday afternoon.

During the raid, investigators also discovered firearms which Schmidt is in violation of. He was taken into custody by federal agents.

Meanwhile loyal customers like Pierce are left wondering what to do now, "I have a rug on layaway there, so I was hoping that they'd still be open when I got here today to get it out."
