University of Toledo officials have released the names of the two students involved in a fatal stabbing incident at the International House dorm on Wednesday night.

Josiah Galat, 20, of Mansfield, a senior majoring in engineering, was found deceased behind the International House.

Erik Littleton, 19, of Detroit, a sophomore majoring in engineering, was found and transported to a local hospital.

At a press conference Thursday morning, UT Police likened the incident, which occurred in a stairwell inside the dorm, to a domestic dispute between two students who knew each other. Police Chief Jeff Newtown said there are currently no plans for any charges to be filed as they are still in the early stages of their investigation.

"The campus is very safe, but unfortunately, these kinds of things occur...we are always looking at ways to make things safer, better." said Larry Burns, UT's VP of External Affairs.
