Flood plans to be revealed in public meetings this week

FINDLAY (AP) -- Federal officials are set to roll out flood-control options for the Blanchard River in northwest Ohio.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is holding public meetings this week in the towns of Findlay of Ottawa to talk about how to stop flooding there.
They'll also go into how much some of the options might cost.
Flood prevention has become a top priority along the Blanchard River where there have been five major floods since 2007.
Officials hope to come up with a final plan and line up funding within the next few years.
• Monday, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Ottawa-Glandorf High School auditorium, 630 Glendale Ave., Ottawa.
• Tuesday, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Putnam County Educational Service Center, 124 Putnam Parkway, Ottawa.
• Tuesday, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Findlay High School Auditorium, 1200 Broad Ave.
• Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Hancock County Agricultural Center, 7868 Hancock County 140, Findlay
