OREGON -- Food For Thought volunteers gathered Friday, November 30, at the New Harvest Christian Church in Oregon, to pack lunches which will be handed out Saturday morning.

Volunteers from the community made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, which are packed with cookies, chips or pretzels, and a napkin. Around 350 lunches were packed. Occasionally, hygiene products are included.

All of the lunches were put in boxes, loaded into a trailer, ready to be given to community members in the morning.

Mitch Magdich, Board President of Food For Thought commented his goal by making lunches for the community. Magdich said, “people may be starving in terms of their need for food, but in reality, people are really starving for relationships. We want to meet that need as well.”
