SANDUSKY -- A Sandusky man faces 8 years in prison for a hayride accident that left 28 people injured last October.

Michael Hermes pleaded guilty last week to being drunk while operating a tractor pulling several wagons.  Hermes went off the road in Perkins Township causing one wagon to overturn.

State troopers say there were several open alcohol containers at the scene of the October 2011 crash.  Some of those injured had broken bones while others were just shaken up.

He will be sentenced in January.
