According to the Mayan calendar, you have just over a month to prepare for the End of Days. And experts say, if this is going to happen, you need to be prepared.

Woodville Surplus Store on Toledo's east side can help you get everything you need to be ready. They have been in the survival business since 1949.

Surplus store manager Neal Felstein says customers often fall into a certain category.

"Hunting and self defense are two of our biggest departments. And those things just tie hand and hand with survival, survivalists," says Neal.

But he says they can help anyone prepare for a crisis.

One of the top things to have is a "go-bag." That's a bag stuffed with essentials that is ready to go in case of an emergency for us lay-persons.

"Food and water. Those are the things you need for necessity. For survival. Maybe some sort of cutting utensil. Whether it's a knife or ax or something like that. Because those are always handy in case you have to leave hastily," says resident store survival expert Illya Wells, who people call "Tree" because he is about 6'8" tall.

Most experts say after society breaks down, it's safest to be on the road and moving. Unless of course, you work at a store that specializes in survival.

"I would hold up right here at Woodville Surplus. I don't have anywhere else to go," says Felstein.

And don't forget one of the most, if not the most important thing. A weapon. But remember, buying 10,000 rounds to prepare, means nothing if you have to make a quick getaway.

So pick a gun that has common bullets, and get ready for the end of life as we know it. Whether you think it's going to happen.

"Yeah, I do think something is going to happen. I think we are going to wake up December 22 laughing," says Tree, as he laughs at the thought.

Or not.

Because whether it's armageddon, a fuel shortage, or a massive blackout, it's always good to be prepared.
