In spite of sunshine a chilly day on the way
Canadian high preesure is building in behind the cold front that delivered the rain and wind yesterday. High pressure promotes sinking air motion and that will scour away the clouds as we head through the morning hours and sunshine will rule the day as we get into the afternoon. Despite the sunshine - this airmass is straight out of Canada and highs this afternoon will be 10 to 15 degrees below what we typically see this time of year. So with sunny skies this afternoon we'll barely get to 40 degrees for a high temp.
Skies will remain mainly clear overnight. With light winds radiational cooling will allow lows to drop into the low and mid 20's. With the chilly start and more Canadian air being pumped in our Wednesday will remain on the cool side... we'll see sunny skies and highs in the lower 40's.
We begin to turn things around Thursday as far as temps go with sunshine and highs in the mid 40's. For Friday and the weekend the high pressure stays with us which means more sunshine - but temps moderate with highs climbing back into the seasonal range with highs in the upper 40's and lower 50's which means another great weekend for sorting things out in and around the yard.
Bundle up today and tomorrow - we warm things back up just in time for the weekend ahead.
