If you're wondering how much a new tax levy will cost you before you head to the polls, be sure to check out the Lucas County Auditor's Levy Estimator and Tax Distributor.
AREIS Online (Auditor's Real Estate Information System) allows you to search for your name or address and find out exactly how much any levy in the county effects your property.
Once AREIS is loaded, search by name or address then click on the data tab for the Levy Estimator.
According to the auditor's office, the Tax Distributor breaks down your current taxes by fund type (or purpose of the levy) of the various subdivisions in both percentages and dollar amounts, while also providing the amount of special assessments paid. The Levy Estimator displays all the currently proposed levies by district, and the estimated amount of tax due if the levies were presently in effect.
