TOLEDO -- Assistant Ohio House Minority Leader Matthew A. Szollosi hosted his annual Chicken Paprikas Dinner, Sunday at St. Stephen’s Church at 2018 Consaul Street in East Toledo.

This event began in 1970, with Rep. Szollosi’s grandfather, the late Fritz Szollosi. The dinner continued on over the course of many years with former State Representative Peter Ujvagi.

Always held the Sunday before the election, the dinner has become a Hungarian/Democratic tradition, marking the final sprint towards Election Day.

This year’s guest speakers included: Rep. Matt Szollosi, Senator Edna Brown, Re. Armond Budish, Rep. Michael Ashford, Rep. Teresa Fedor, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, and Congressman Tim Ryan.
