TOLEDO -- Toledo Police say a bank robbery suspect, they had been searching for on Tuesday, went back to the scene of the crime to turn himself in.

Investigators say 31-year-old Ahmad Golson returned to the Fifth Third Bank at 3:30 p.m., located at 3028 Lagrange, and revealed to the teller he was the person that robbed the branch at 10:55 a.m.

Police responded to the scene and took Golson to the Safety Building for questioning.

That's where, police say, Golson confessed to the robbery and he was subsequently charged and booked at the Lucas County Jail.
