MONROE, MI -- Farmer Charley’s in Monroe, MI is celebrating the hockey season by crafting a corn maze that depicts logos of the Detroit Red Wings and Toledo Walleye.
The 10.5-acre maze features three different paths of varying difficulty that adventurous visitors can navigate by answering hockey-themed questions. The winged wheel of the NHL’s Detroit Red Wings is prominently featured in the lower right area of the field with the Toledo Walleye logo gracing the upper left region.
Famer Charley’s plays host to Hockey Day! on Saturday, September 29th. The event features hayrides, a bonfire, pumpkin-picking and special pig races to honor the teams. Walleye players Kyle Rogers and Phil Rauch will also join team mascots Spike and CatTrick to sign autographs and greet fans from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Visitors can also catch the famed Ronald McDonald who will perform a magic show for children from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Special coupons to the event can be obtained by clicking "like" on the Farmer Charley's Facebook page.
