SOUTH TOLEDO -- Tuesday afternoon, Toledo Police were searching for an alleged  drunk driver after a 4-vehicle accident near the intersection of Angola & Airport.

Witnesses, at the scene, said that the suspect slammed a green Jeep into the back of a white passenger car just before 3 p.m.

That crash then sent the Jeep into the path of two vehicles parked in a nearby lot.

Witnesses say the suspect, described as white man and in his late 20's, stayed at the scene of the accident for a few minutes before disappearing.

Bystanders directed traffic around the accident and stayed with the driver of the white vehicle.

When authorities initially arrived at the scene they advised the driver, of the white car, to wait for rescue crews before getting out of the vehicle.

It is unclear how badly the driver, of the white car, was injured.

There was also a car seat, in the white vehicle, but no children were inside at the time of the crash.

In addition, no one was in the parked vehicles that were also involved in the accident.

Witnesses also said it was possible the suspect was driving a stolen vehicle.

They say there were burglary-like tools in the back of the Jeep that was left at scene.

Pieces of vehicles involved in the accident were strewn across the roadway.

Those at the scene said it appeared the driver, of the Jeep, was going 80 mph before the crash.
