TOLEDO -- The economy and the unemployed are huge points of contention in the 2012 presidential race, with both sides saying each other doesn't have the right keys to turn the economy around.
Well, we will have to see Wednesday who takes credit for a major drop in unemployment numbers in Northwest Ohio.
The jobless rate in Toledo fell from 9.1% in July to 8.3% percent in August.
The news is also good for Lucas County which saw its unemployment rate drop from 8.4% in July to 7.6% in August.
Wood County's rate dropped to 6.6% from 7.3% .
Ottawa County's fell from 8.2% to 7.1% and Fulton County's is down from 7.8% to 6.7%.
