BOWLING GREEN -- The crowd was pumped up at the BG Falcons homeopener, but some of the loudest cheers were for two women, Angelica Mormile and Kayla Somoles.
"It feels great, it's really exciting, it's a little overwhelming but it's a great feeling," explains Mormile. It's a much better feeling considering these two women were the only survivors of a horrific head one crash that killed three of their soriety sisters in March.
Both women nearly died and escaped with broken bones and brian damage that took months of therapy to overcome,"it was a struggle, it was really hard, but we had so much help from people out of state, our university and our friends and family and our sisters especially," explains Kayla Somoles.
The sight of the survivors at tonights game was inspiring for BGSU senior Natty Brown,"my reaction to the students coming around each other and supporting each other is it just makes me so happy to see BG pride."
Realizing they got a second chance at life, both of these ladies aren't taking it for granted, "everyone together is one, we appreciate it so much," adds Mormile.
Both ladies say they're ready to get back to a normal life. For Somoles that includes continuing her studies in childhood education and for Mormile pursuing a career in tv broadcasting.
