Take a break from the Olympics today and cheer on some young athletes at Owens Community College.
More than 200 of the best high school girls basketball student-athletes from Ohio and Michigan will converge on Owens Community College’s Student Health and Activities Center to showcase their talents. The Express women’s basketball program hosts the nationally recognized Ohio/Michigan High School Basketball Border Battle.
The NCAA certified basketball event is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the Toledo-area Campus.
The basketball games are open to the public. The first games of the morning session will begin at 9 a.m., while the afternoon session starts at 2 p.m. Over 200 college basketball coaches are expected to be in attendance.
