ERIE TOWNSHIP -- The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is investigating an incident they're calling an attempted murder, armed robbery and home invasion in Erie Township on Saturday night.

According to the police report, a man armed with a blunt object barged into a residence in the 8000 block of Suder Avenue. The homeowner suffered injuries to his head, neck and ribs and was taken to a Toledo hospital.

The intruder reportedly took the victim's money and vehicle. The car was discovered abandoned a short time later.

The victim described his attacker as a white male in his mid-20s with short brown hair. The offender was approximately  6'5" with a "slender yet muscular" build. He was wearing a white tank top, blue jean cutt off shorts and tennis shoes.

Police believe the intruder had an accomplice, who was seen picking him up after abandoning the victim's vehicle. The accomplice is described as a 30-year-old black male with a slender build.
