Suspect arrested in North Toledo home invasion shooting

TOLEDO -- Police have made an arrest in connection with Wednesday's deadly home invasion in North Toledo, Sgt. Joe Heffernan confirmed to WWNO.

Demeko Deshun McDaniel was arrested Thursday and charged with murder and aggravated robbery. He is currently being held in the Monroe County jail.

Authorities received a call about the home invasion on Bricker Avenue around 1 p.m. on Wednesday. First responders said they found a woman outside the residence suffering from a head wound.

A SWAT team was called in before 3 p.m. and found Junior Francous, 39, dead inside the home.
