Verizon expanding NW Ohio 4G LTE network

TOLEDO -- Verizon Wireless announced Monday that Northwest Ohio customers using wireless smart devices capable of 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) will experience a boost in performance.

On Thursday, May 17th 4G LTE services will expand services in Gibsonburg, Holland, Monclova, Toledo Express Airport, Whitehouse, and Woodville.  The expansion of 4G LTE services will also be available to customers for the first time in Defiance.

4G LTE services allow consumers to browse apps and internet on their mobile devices at 10 times faster than normal. Customers of Verizon will experience average data rates of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink.
