TOLEDO -- The man who shot a mother and her toddler will be spending the next 70 years behind bars.

18-year-old Deangelo Overton was sentenced Monday morning for an attempted burglary in October, an armed robbery in the Old West End and the shooting of the mom and her son at the Byrneport Apartments in November.

Overton pleaded no contest to the charges last month.

His attorney plans to appeal the sentence.
