PONTIAC, MICH. (AP) -- Authorities say a 19-year-old has been charged with first-degree murder in the shooting of a 22-year-old man in Pontiac during a robbery where an iPhone and iPad were taken.

Dejuan Burks of Pontiac was arraigned by video link Wednesday in the killing of Montonez Whitehead. Authorities say Whitehead was walking home from work at a McDonald's on March 16 when he was killed.

Pontiac District Judge Rhonda Fowlkes Gross has ordered Burks held without bond.

The Oakland Press says U.S. Marshals Service helped arrest Burks in Detroit.

The Oakland County jail had no information Wednesday night on whether Burks has a lawyer.
