TOLEDO -- The funeral home worker accused of fondling a dead woman's body was indicted on an abuse of a corpse charge on Tuesday.

If convicted, 57-year-old Lawrence Clement of Temperance, Mich., faces up to one year in prison. His next court date is set for April 16.

According to police, a co-worker witnessed Clement inappropriately touch the body of 51-year-old Brenda Shular-Cameron at H. H. Birkenkamp Funeral Home on March 4.

H. H. Birkenkamp fired Clement after the alleged incident.
