TOLEDO -- The trial of a Waterville Township police officer charged with allegedly viewing a lewd photo of a juvenile on his work computer begins Wednesday morning.
David Krego, 42, is charged with one count of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, which is a fifth degree felony.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges.
If convicted, he faces up to one year in prison and he would have to register as a sex offender.
The Waterville Township Police Department said the photo in question was uncovered during a computer maintenance check. Officials say the image was not created, but viewed.
