Toledo Police Department dragnet nets 51 arrests

TOLEDO -- A law enforcement operation by the Toledo Police Department conducted over five days has led to the arrests of 51 people and the confiscation of  $30,000 worth of illegal drugs.  Operation Dirty Boy V began Thursday, February 16 and concluded on Sunday, February 19. Police seized 5 1/2 pounds of marijuana worth $8,800, 1 ounce of heroin valued at $7,700, 60 grams of cocaine worth $12,000 and 104 Schedule I and Schedule II pills valued at $1,860.  Four firearms were seized in addition to $12,099 in cash. 

A total of 51 people were arrested and charged with a total of 53 felony and 40 misdemeanor offenses.  The raids were carried out by the Toledo Police Vice Narcotics Unit, the Toledo Police Metro Drug Task Force and the TPD SWAT teams.  Assistance was also provided by agents from the Toledo FBI office and the Northwest Ohio DEA Task Force.

Operation Dirty Boy is an annual law enforcement sweep conducted in memory of Det. Keith Dressel and other Toledo Police Department officers killed in the line of duty.
