FINDLAY -- The locked out Cooper Tire workers in Findlay are getting support from an unlikely source, NFL players.

The head of the NFL Players Association sent a letter to Cooper Tire stating its members and leadership are troubled by their treatment of its workers.

NFLPA Executive Director DeMaurice Smith says Cooper should negotiate a fair contract to end the lockout.

Cooper Tire locked out more than 1,000 members of the United Steelworkers in November after the union voted down a three year contract.

NFL players know what it's like not to be able to work.  They were locked out for more than 4 months last year.
