TOLEDO -- Demolition of the former Libbey High School was supposed to begin next Wednesday, but that's not happening now.

The Toledo Public School District has pushed back the demolition to mid-January.

TPS says there have been issues with utility shut-offs.

It says the state willl still pay its share of the demolition cost because the abatement part of the process is complete.

TPS shutdown Libbey last year because of low enrollment.

Groups tried to save it, even getting the building put on the National Register of Historic Places but it was not enough.
