TOLEDO -- Toledo Police are investigating the murders of two men shot to death in Toledo on Wednesday night.

Toledo 911 dispatchers say an investigation into the first shooting began with a report of a hit and run accident at the intersection of Broadway and Prouty.

When authorities arrived at the scene around 8 p.m., they discovered the driver, Alvaro Vallejo Jr., deceased with a gunshot wound.

The second murder occured at 4111 Lewis just before midnight. Officers responded to a call of shots fired and found 29-year-old Michael Heidtman injured at the scene. He was transported to Toledo Hospital but later pronounced deceased from a gunshot wound.

Update:

Toledo Police have issued an arrest warrant for 32 year old Paul Cooper, Police believe Cooper is responsible for the shooting death of Michael Heidtman.
