BERLIN TWP., MICH. -- One man is dead after two vehicles lost control and flipped on northbound Interstate 75 late Saturday night. Preliminary investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reveals that Cole Bruno Jr., 58, of Trenton, Michigan was operating a 2007 Ford Ranger northbound on I-75. Cole Bruno III, 28, of Trenton Michigan was traveling as a passenger in his father’s Ford Ranger.

Bruno Jr.'s vehicle was struck from behind by a Hyundai Elantra, driven by Terrence Collins, 28, of Adrian Michigan. Both vehicles then lost control and ran off the left side of the road. Bruno Jr.'s Ford impacted the median guardrail and overturned, while Collins’ Hyundai overturned and came to rest on its tires, facing southbound in the left travel lane

Bruno Jr. was pronounced deceased at the scene. Monroe Community Ambulance transported Bruno III to Oakwood South Shore Hospital in Trenton, Michigan where he is listed in stable condition. Collins was transported to Oakwood South Shore Hospital by Flat Rock Fire Department, where he is also listed in stable condition.

Speed appears to be a factor in the crash.
