TOLEDO, OHIO -- In today's classrooms, from those filled with kindergartners and college upperclassmen, it is becoming difficult to separate rapidly evolving technology and education.

From interactive whiteboards, to laptops and even iPads, instructors across the country are finding new ways to inform young minds.  But does your curious child know how to effectively explore the latest technologies and use them to enhance their education?

The University of Toledo is giving high school students in the Toledo-area a chance to get hands-on experience with the latest technologies.

UT's College of Business & Innovation will host a summer Technology Camp for high school students to get hands-on experience with modern business technologies. On July 7 and 8, UT instructors, along with a number of corporate partners, will introduce interested day campers to advanced web technologies, app and webpage building, and much more.

Through various informational sessions with partners at Owens Illinois, Eaton, Libbey, Owens Corning and WNWO, students will learn how industries use different emerging technologies and how they are being used to enhance business.

UT COBI Technology Camp will be held at Stranahan North, on the university's Bancroft Campus, on July 7 and 8 from 10am - 3pm.

The camp is free and is open to any area high school student (grades 9-12). Students will have the chance to win an Apple iPad in addition to receiving free prizes. Lunch will be provided to all campers.

For more information, and to register, log on the UT's COBI website. Space is limited.
