Don't panic but Gas Buddy analysts say the price at the pump could go up to $3 a gallon over the next few days.

the reason?

A small fire at a Chicago-area refinery and a move by the Federal Reserve has resulted in a large increase in wholesale gasoline prices. That means that gas stations are feeling the burden.

Gas Buddy says some stations may chose to just take a hit rather than post 3-dollar prices and scare off customers.

but if they do these would be the highest prices in about 2 years.
