BOWLING GREEN, OH -- Bowling Green State University and PNC Bank announced a new university banking partnership Monday. With this new relationship, an emphasis on money management and financial education will be made available for more than 24,000 students, staff and faculty at BGSU.
Free financial education will be made available to the BGSU community, and Student Money Management and Budgeting workshops will be introduced in the BGSU First Year Success Series to help first year students learn to budget, track, and monitor their finances.
A PNC financial services center will also be opening in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union, including two ATMs, depositing and cashing options, and on-site customer service representatives. Three other ATMs will be installed in the Student Union, Founders Hall, and McDonald Hall.
Students and employees will also have the option to link their BG1 cards to their PNC accounts this fall. The BG1 cards will be able to transfer funds from their PNC accounts to any university service that requires payments. Students will also receive benefits for opening PNC accounts while attending BGSU, including one free waiver of an overdraft account.
