JACKSON, Mich. (AP) - Building a better food system for southeast Michigan is the focus of a gathering in Jackson.
The Food System Economic Partnership is hosting Thursday's conference amid an increased interest in local and homegrown food.
Topics of discussion will include how to sell a specialty food product. One aim is to help increase understanding of the local food system.
The nonprofit, Ann Arbor-based Food System Economic Partnership serves Jackson, Lenawee, Monroe, Washtenaw and Wayne counties.
