TOLEDO, OHIO -- Authorities in Northwest Ohio believe a series of recent area bank robberies were committed by the same person, and now they need your help in finding the suspect.
The FBI believes a lone, white male suspect is to blame for at least four bank or credit union robberies, plus an additional convenience store robbery. The incidents date back to November of 2009, with the most recent robbery taking place in early April.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5'8" to 5'10" tall. In each of the heists he is shown on surveillance imagery carrying or threatening clerks with a handun, while moving fast to perpetrate his crime. He is seen, in all robberies, with a covered face and wearing a hooded sweatshirt, dark sweat pants, ball cap, sunglasses, and gloves.
The suspect is believed to have been involved in the following incidents:
Nov. 27, 2009 - Robbery of Sun Federal Credit Union, 4760 Monroe St., Toledo around 4:40 p.m.
Jan. 21, 2010 - Robbery of Sun Federal Credit Union, 4760 Monroe St., Toledo around 3:21 p.m.
Mar. 5, 2010 - Robbery of Charter One Bank, 5911 Lewis Ave., Toledo around 10:05 a.m. He was last seen fleeing the scene in a newer model tan-colored Ford Fusion
Mar. 10, 2010 - Robbery of Johnny's On The Spot, 2468 Woodville Rd., Oregon around 9:30 p.m.
Apr. 2, 2010 - Robbery of Sun Federal Credit Union, 3341 Executive Parkway around 1:50 p.m. He was last seen fleeing the scene in a gray-colored Chevy HHR with unknown Ohio tags.
