TOLEDO -- Issue 5 on the May 4th ballot would allow Toledo City Council to use money in the city's capital improvement fund for general expenses. One council member says it will improve the city's financial outlook.
“Issue 5 is a good idea. Issue 5 will create flexibility in our budget and can be use to off set any layoffs or tax increases that occur in the 2010 approved budget,” Joe McNamara-Toledo City Council.
The Lucas County early voting center is now open for residents who want to file absentee ballots.
