TOLEDO, OHIO -- Eyes are now on the Toledo Public School District to curb its own $30 million budget deficit.
A May levy could save programs, but Libbey High School is set to close whether or not the levy is passed.
Parents, alumni and concerned citizens tell NBC 24 news they plan to protest Wednesday.
The rally's happening at 11:30 a.m. in front of the school.
Meanwhile, the school board will make its final decisions Thursday on other possible cuts.
Residents can voice their opinions at an open meeting Wednesday night. It's happening at the Libbey High School Auditorium from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
The board is looking at closing some schools and cutting sports programs.
