OREGON, OHIO -- The construction of a $400 million refinery is expected to bring at least 200 construction jobs to the Oregon refinery.

One hydrogen plant and two existing reformers built in the 1950’s will be replaced by a more energy efficient reformer.  Ron Unnerstall, President of BP-Husky says the upgrade will increase the plants competitiveness.  It will also decrease the overall regulated air emissions by 5%.

BP-Husky will maintain its 1,200 person workforce. The project breaks ground in the spring and is expected to be complete in 2012.
