Bobby Brown is out of jail after serving just nine hours of his 55 day sentence for a second conviction of driving under the influence.

The singer was released because of overcrowding at the Los Angeles country jail. Brown is technically still in custody and must wear a monitor for eight days instead of spending time behind bars.

The 44 year old singer was married to Whitney Houston. Brown and Houston were divorced in 2007.
