A wintry mix moving up out of the Midwest could impact Northwest Ohio early Monday morning. The system looks to overspread the area pre-dawn, bringing light snow in the onset.

By daybreak Monday morning, the precipitation looks to change to a brief period of sleet and freezing rain. Some light ice accumulations will be possible on less-traveled, secondary roadways. However, with ground temperatures on the warmer side, little to no ice accumulations are expected on major roadways.

However, morning travelers on Monday should be alert to the possibility of a few slick spots on roadways and sidewalks.

By mid-morning, we'll see the transition to all rain across the region, as temperatures rise into the lower 40s.

Stay tuned to WNWO for the latest on the developing weather situation.
