PEMBERVILLE -- The lockdown at Eastwood High School is over and classes are back to normal after live ammunition shells were found inside a bathroom on Friday morning.

Wood County Sheriff Mark Wasylyshyn told WNWO's crew at the scene that deputies did not find any weapons or additional ammunition during a search of the building and lockers. In a voicemail to members of the Eastwood School District this morning, Superintendent Brent Welker assured parents that all students were safe.

Sheriff's deputies will continue to investigate how the ammunition got into the school. Stay tuned to NorthwestOhio.com and WNWO News at 6 for more information.
