TOLEDO -- The Monday afternoon crash on I-75 near Bancroft  that ultimately killed a Temperance man was the 12th accident since the beginning of 2012 involving Ohio Department of Transportation of vehicles.   51-year-old Ken Harder of Temperance, Michigan died early Tuesday morning from the injuries he sustained when his SUV slammed into the back of an ODOT vehicle.  One of the ODOT workers was slightly injured.  She was hospitalized but later released and was able to report to work on Tuesday according to Theresa Pollick, the public information officer with District 2 of ODOT.

A witness told police that she saw Harder texting just prior to the crash but Sgt. Joe Heffernen says investigators have not been able to confirm that.
