A potent late winter storm continues to impact the WNWO viewing area.

And small variances in temperatures aloft and at the surface will change greatly the type of weather you will experience overnight.

Breaking the forecast apart by location for tonight...

Along and north of the Ohio/Michigan border:  Tonight, some early evening mixed showers will begin to change over to all snow as we move through the evening.  Areas can expect to see 2" to 4" of new snow on the ground by sunrise.  Temperatures will dip back into the upper 20s overnight.

Along a line 20 miles to the north and south of the Maumee River:  Tonight, temperatures warm enough to change the evening precipitation over to rain early.  By late evening, temperatures fall back enough to mix some sleet/snow back into the picture.  Overnight, as temps back down to around freezing, we should see a change over to light snow with 1" to 2" accumulating by sunrise.

From Ottawa, to Findlay up through Tiffin and Fremont:  Tonight, temperatures stay just warm enough to produce a rain/snow mix, or all rain in some areas, with little or no accumulation by sunrise.

Chief Meteorologist Norm Van Ness and the rest of the WNWO Weather Team continue to monitor the changing conditions, and will be updating on-air at 6pm and 11pm...and online on Facebook, Twitter and our website at the links provided below.
