DETROIT -- Good news for thousands of Northwest Ohio General Motors workers.
GM made $898 million in the fourth quarter of 2012, up from $468 million in 2011.
That means hourly workers could receive checks of more than $6,500.
The automaker earned $4.9 billion in 2012, compared to $7.6 billion in 2011.
Still, after many years of losses, it's General Motors third consecutive annual profit.
