The blood alcohol concentration limit law in Michigan is set to expire in October 2013.

The current law is 0.08%, but would change to 0.10%.

The change would also cost Michigan two percent in federal funding every year they do not comply up to 8%. That funding is worth about $51 million a year.

After the fourth year, 8% would mean the loss of $204 million in federal funds. That money is primarily used for road and highway construction.
